Unlawful Growth and Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana in Denver – Man Turns Himself in for Growing Marijuana

Posted by Unknown | Jan 01, 2016 | 0 Comments

In criminal defense cases in Denver, defense attorneys know the conscience is a powerful thing. One man's conscience must have convicted of him when it led him to turn himself in to police. According to the news, the man allegedly heard a helicopter flying over a storage unit where he was growing marijuana and he began to panic. Immediately, he assumed the police were looking for him, so he called 911 to turn himself in. Unfortunately for the man, the helicopter didn't belong to police, and police weren't looking for him. The helicopter actually belonged to a news station reporting on a death that occurred near the man's storage unit. Though I commend the man for owning up to his mistake, it still didn't keep him from being charged and arrested. He was charged with growing marijuana and possessing marijuana with intent to sell marijuana.
